Authorised Person & LOTO Officer

• Thorough understanding of plant mechanical and electrical systems along with in-depth understanding and interpretation of P&IDs, electrical one line/multiline and other pertinent drawings
• Follows safety/environmental rules and regulations. Implements project safe work practices and immediately identifies hazards and recommends and/or implements repairs.
• Understands and executes the equipment clearance (LOTO) procedure, as well as Job Safety Analysis/Work Authorization/Confined Space/Hot Work Permits.
• Receive, verify, and approve LOTO permits, as directed by the project PTW system.
• Ensures all protective measures identified on the permit are implemented prior to authorized start of the work.
• Issue tags and locks for personnel
• Maintain control of locks and permits (open and closed) with log and report daily.
• Ensures locks and tags are placed and removed from designated equipment and systems.
• Ensure the equipment or system is in safe configuration after work is completed.
• Report to the Lead Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, the Commissioning Manager, and the Head of Commissioning where necessary
• At least 2-5 years working experience in EHS and lock-out/tag-out processes of large power stations with demonstrable experience in a role of similar relevance.
• HND/HNC in Mechanical/Process/Electrical engineering is preferred.
• Strong team spirit, working with an international team and other cultures.
• Excellent communication skills

• Aberdare (South Wales) & Stewartby (Bedfordshire)
• �350.00 to �400.00 per day (Outside IR35)
• April 2024 start date
