With more than 130 years of financial experience and over 22,000 partners, we serve the world's most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.Role:Audit Services are offering an exceptional opportunity for you to showcase and expand your knowledge in quantifying, monitoring, and mitigating financial risk, including liquidity risk, credit risk, and treasury activities, and join a global team of experts, whose common goal is to provide independent and objective assurance and consulting activities that assess risks and protect the assets, reputation, and sustainability of Northern Trust. We are seeking an eager partner to help enhance our audit coverage strategy and perform testing over liquidity management, regulatory capital management, corporate treasury activities (e.g., securities portfolio management, intraday cash management), prudential risk management, and internal stress testing (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), Internal Capital and Risk Assessment (ICARA), Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), liquidity stress testing). As a subject matter expert, you will liaise with other teams in the Internal Audit Department and assist in improving the department's skills through knowledge share discussions and internal training, as needed. In addition, you will be expected to work directly senior leaders at Northern Trust and external regulators to build trust and assurance. This position will report directly to the Managing Director in Chicago, and you'll be expected to work closely with partners in Chicago, London, and Manila.Through collaboration with other team members, you will assist in the end-to-end execution of audit engagements and gain exposure to senior management across Northern Trust. Success is measured through the quality of the documentation, integrity of the assessment, timeliness of the deliveries, and your ability to foster relationships both internally in the audit department and with key stakeholders. Experience in data manipulation, transformations, and reconciliations is essential.Skills / ExperienceRequired Skills & ExperienceExtensive experience in one, or a combination, of liquidity risk management, prudential risk management, credit risk management, corporate treasury activity, and/or accounting is requiredDetailed knowledge of industry practices to comply with prudential risk management regulations (e.g., US Regulations Q, YY, WW; UK Regulation CRD V) is a plusDegree in business management, corporate finance, economics, mathematics, or statistics; or an accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly recommendedKnowledge of auditing techniques and approaches in the financial services industry would be an advantageAn ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a global audit team across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.Working with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
