We take a collaborative approach and are genuinely committed to giving people opportunities.” Christos Vernardos - PartnerAbout the roleManaging our approach to Engagement Quality Control Review and hot review teams, undertaking reviews and providing live feedback to audit teamsSupporting our audit teams through regulatory file inspectionsActively supporting and contributing to relevant technical groups including NAO technical networks and a range of panels and boardsDeveloping and delivering training for public sector auditorsResponding to audit approach queries from auditors and providing ad hoc support for audit teams on complex issuesDrafting responses to consultations on public sector audit mattersSupporting the PS AQST director in delivering VFM consistency panels, reviews and challenge to audit teams and engagement leadsWhat are we looking for?Experience in Audit Quality or Audit Experience with a passion to develop in this areaGood knowledge of the NAO Code of Audit Practice and how this is applied in local government and NHS sectors in EnglandGood understanding of underlying International Standards on Auditing (UK)Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholdersA keen interest in developing our business and our people and contributing to our continuing growth in the public sectorRelevant accounting qualification CPFA, ACA, ACCA, CA (or equivalent)About MazarsMazars is a leading international professional services firm delivering exceptional quality in audit, accounting, tax, financial advisory, outsourcing and consulting.We are one diverse, multicultural, multi-generational team with a huge sense of connection and belonging.
