Job DescriptionManage the approach to Engagement Quality Control Review and hot review teams, undertaking reviews and providing live feedback to audit teamsSupporting audit teams through regulatory file inspectionsActively supporting and contributing to relevant technical groups including NAO technical networks and a range of panels and boardsDeveloping and delivering training for public sector auditorsResponding to audit approach queries from auditors and providing ad hoc support for audit teams on complex issuesDrafting responses to consultations on public sector audit mattersDelivering VFM consistency panels, reviews and challenge to audit teams and engagement leads The Successful ApplicantAccounting qualification ACA, ACCA, CA (or equivalent)Experience in Audit Quality or Audit Experience with a passion to develop in this areaGood knowledge of the NAO Code of Audit Practice and how this is applied in local government and NHS sectors in EnglandGood understanding of underlying International Standards on Auditing (UK)Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders What's on OfferCompetitive salary and benefitsA culture that encourages you to be your true self at work with a focus on flexibility, balance and wellbeing.
