Your new company Your new company is a well-established, Partner led, Top 30 Chartered Accountancy firm, based in the heart of London. This firm works with clients from a variety of industries including large corporates, SMEs and NFPs, and offers a range of services including audit, corporate taxation, and forensic accounting to name a few. This Top 30 firm is looking for a talented Audit Manager to join the growing team in London. Your new role As an Audit Manager in the busy London team, you will be responsible for working with a mixed client portfolio including becoming the first point of contact for your clients, duties and responsibilities for a typical day-to-day are listed below: Planning, supervising, and reviewing audit, accounts, and corporation tax workPreparing and reviewing statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and FRS102Supervising junior staff and providing assistance regarding technical queries and professional development, including conducting periodic appraisalsPerforming billing managementSome staff-related administration dutiesAd hoc business consultancyAssisting in generating new businessOther ad hoc duties in line with the roleInvolvement with the recruitment of the audit departmentWhat you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, ideally you will have the attributes and skills listed below: ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least a couple of years post-qualified experienceRecent audit experience within a UK Chartered Accountants, including working with a wide range of clients - some accounts prep experience is also desirableExperience leading and managing audits from planning to completion, including a small team reporting into you on engagements Good working knowledge of UK accounting (FRS 102) and auditing standards as well as corporate, personal and indirect tax, any IFRS experience would be a bonus Client portfolio management experience, and previous experience managing teams of different sizesIdeally you will have strong software skills, including the Microsoft packages and Pro-Audit.
