Our client are seeking a fully qualified accountant with a focus on managing audits from planning to completion, to play a key role in their audit and assurance team.Salary: £60k - £75k The key responsibilities of the role are:Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality audit and assurance service, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work.Plan staffing and resource for audit assignments.Manage the progress of jobs, ensure that budgets are met, address any problems that are encountered to ensure that the audit is finished within budget and timeframe.Review and sign off audit the audit file and address any problems or queries before passing it to the Partner for review.Identify ways to maximise the relationship with the client and deliver added value.Coach and develop audit staff to develop their knowledge.Attributes Required:The key attributes that we will look for are:ACA or ACCA fully qualified with practice experience.Demonstrable experience managing audits with commercial clients from planning toExperience working with MS Excel and Word and ideally CaseWare audit software.Demonstrable success managing members of staff.Strong up-to-date technical knowledge including FRS 102 in particular.Excellent communication skills – oral and written, ability to deal with a variety of people in different environments.Organised – ability to deal with a variety of tasks.Client focused.Commercially aware.Ability to work within a team.Able to solve complex problems.Able to work well under pressure and manage deadlines.Be positive and committed to the Firm and its core values in dealings with both clients and staffBenefits:Progression opportunitiesThe Peoples PensionLife insurance5 weeks holiday plus bank holidaysOngoing professional developmentGenuine work life balanceHybrid workingPrivate medical insuranceEnhanced maternity payEmployee assistance programmePurchase of additional holidayCycle to workTech scheme
