We are looking for an Audit Manager to join our team in Dundee.As a key player in our rapidly growing team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of this audit function. You will help deliver the effective completion of Audit work for designated clients; coach and train the audit team as needed; ensure deadlines and budgets are met and the audit files are reviewed.Opened in 2019, Johnston Carmichael's Dundee office was part of a strategic operation to support the region's growing sectors including technology and life sciences. Now sitting strong with a combined team of over 40 across a variety of business lines, we are looking to expand our well-established audit service here in Dundee.The Audit Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to):Plan and manage the effective, professional and efficient delegation, flow-through and completion of Audit work for clients.Maintain up to date technical knowledge of Audit and Financial Reporting and related matters.Provide high level technical and Audit planning advice to clientsAssist the Audit RI and Audit Senior Managers with Audit planning work and local reportingManage and support a team of Audit staff to achieve their goals and objectives ensuring they are developing their skills and capabilities.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contacts and colleagues.Work closely with the audit team to ensure audit work is handled efficiently and effectively from start to finish and is done in accordance with the Firm's Audit policy and other relevant policies and procedures.Be the principal contact for larger clients on day to day audit matters.Liaising with client staff while on the client's premises, building effective relationships with client's staff.Building relationships with client staff and acting as an ambassador for the firm.About You:A leader of your work and your professional learningExcellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence othersRelevant experience in this or a similar role is preferredQualified CA (or equivalent) and aboveExperience in leading on-site audit teams.Experience in supervising or managing staffPractical experience of using software systems in the preparation of audit files, financial statements and audit working papers.
