Audit Manager - Corporate Services Bury St Edmunds ProTalent are working with a fantastic accountancy practice with a highly regarded audit team based in Bury St Edmunds to recruit a dynamic and experienced Audit Manager to join its Corporate Services team. The successful candidate will manage a team of auditors while also being responsible for a varied portfolio of clients, ranging from small to large groups. This is a full-time position with flexible working arrangements available. Responsibilities: - Day to day management of the Bury St Edmunds Corporate Services Group - Reviewing assignments and working papers, providing constructive feedback to team members - Managing a varied portfolio of clients, communicating engagement progress, problems, financial information and other business concerns - Participating in networking and building client relationships - Achieving engagement profitability - billings and collections - Supporting partners with business development activities and client tender processes - Supporting team members and clients across multiple offices Essential Skills: - Proven background in Audit within a UK practice and front line client contact - Qualified to ICAEW/ACCA or by experience - Working knowledge of corporation tax and accounts preparation under UK GAAP - Experience of CCH accounts software or other similar software packages - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Self-motivated, hard working, flexible and willing to undertake some travel - Full UK driving licence and access to own transport Desirable Skills: - Sector specialist experience in IFRS and Charity SORP accounting/auditing - Financial modelling/advanced excel training - Prior involvement in staff recruitment and induction - Previous experience of making presentations on technical matters - Focus on personal development and the development of others - Prior experience in tender processes/presentations, business development work and networking Benefits: - Competitive salary - Private medical insurance - Pension scheme - Life assurance - 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) - Agile working policy with the option for some remote working - Flexible working hours - Opportunity for career progression - A dynamic and fast-paced work environment - Exposure to a diverse client portfolio - Regular training and development opportunities - A supportive and collaborative team culture This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded team, working with a diverse client portfolio.
