Audit & Compliance ManagerFull Time, PermanentSalary: £39,588Your role will involve overseeing, coordinating, and completing audits to ensure compliance with contractual, Home Office, Company, legislative, and relevant standards. You should strive to maintain and enhance these standards in alignment with current best practices. Key duties include timely assignment and completion of audits, fostering innovation and continuous improvement, providing support to staff and local managers, analysing audit data, producing compliance reports, and promoting adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within the contract.Additionally, you will Identify trends across the contract and conduct root cause analyses to understand why these trends have formed. When successful trends are identified, highlight them to and support management. Proactively assist stakeholders, constructively responding to questions and action points raised in reports from the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB), His Majesty's Inspector of Prisons (HMIP), and the Home Office External Contract Monitoring Team. Your efforts will help build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.Furthermore, you'll play an active role in the Centre's external accreditation programs, such as ISO 9001, 14001, and 27001, in line with Mitie corporate accreditation.The right candidate will have relevant previous experience in audit, compliance, and standards. Excellent attention to detail. Clear Communicator: Both verbal and written English of a high standard. Intermediate - Expert IT Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Desirable: Previous experience of working in a secure environment.
