Audit Assistant Manager – International Audit
About the Role:
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in our audit practice, specialising in group audits and international engagements. You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring junior staff, leading and managing engagements, and ensuring high-quality audits are delivered in accordance with professional standards. You will also have the opportunity to travel internationally to work with clients and colleagues across the globe.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the audit of complex group engagements
Supervise and coach junior members of the audit team
Develop and implement audit strategies based on a combination of substantive and controls-based approaches
Perform risk assessments and substantive testing on key risk areas
Review systems and control environments,ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Work closely with engagement partners and directors
Liaise with clients and address their queries
Prepare high-quality working papers and audit reports
Maintain a strong understanding of current economic and market trends
Participate in professional development activities and stay up-to-date with relevant technical pronouncements
Qualifications and Experience:
You must be a qualified ACA/ACCA/ICAS or hold an overseas equivalent qualification
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a UK public practice audit,with a focus on group audits
(under ISA 600)
and international engagements
Strong working knowledge of ISAs,IFRS,UK GAAP,and Financial Reporting requirements
Experience in reviewing internal controls,performing risk assessments,and undertaking substantive testing
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel internationally
