Our Client a very successfully and expanding accountancy practice with several offices throughout the region are currently on the lookout for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join their teamThe Role-Senior Audit and Accounts SeniorWe are looking for a qualified audit and accounts senior to work as part of our audit and accounts team. You will be involved in the delivery of statutory audits and preparing accounts for a portfolio of some of the most innovative and exciting clients across our region including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders from a variety of sectors including education, retail, manufacturing, and charities. DutiesPreparation of accounts from a variety of client's systems - Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, etcAudit of financial statements from planning to completion, including responsibility for managing the on-site audit team, where applicablePreparation of draft corporation tax computationsActioning queries raised by the accounts and tax managers on the draft accounts and tax computationsFinalisation of the accounts and corporation tax computations following client meetingsProviding training, guidance, and support to members of the team as requiredAttending clients' premises predominantly across the North-East and Yorkshire depending on the locationThe PersonACA or ACCA qualifiedExperience of involvement in or leading on auditsProven experience of owner-managed small to medium-business accounts preparation including statutory financial statementsRecent general practice background, with exposure to accounts, audit, and/or taxExceptional organisational skillsProven experience of delivering excellent client serviceBe flexible and proactive in managing multiple prioritiesHave excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients face to face, over the telephone, and by emailMust have excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of ExcelThe ability to check work for accuracy and have good attention to detailBe able to demonstrate your initiative to solve problemsThe ability to travel to clients' premises as requiredIdeallyKnowledge of accounting software packages such as Sage, QuickBooks, Online, Xero, and IRIS.
