Job Summary:
The Audit/Account Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing audit, accounts, taxation, and other business-related activities on behalf of our clients. This role involves close collaboration with clients to understand their requirements, ensuring work is completed accurately and professionally. The Audit Manager also plays a key role in managing client relationships, delegating tasks within the team, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company standards. Additionally, the Audit Manager provides support to Partners, contributes to the development of junior staff, and actively seeks opportunities to enhance client service and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Liaison and Service:
Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs and provide audit, accounts, taxation, and business-related services.
Compliance Management:
Stay updated on relevant legislation and ensure that client affairs are managed in accordance with legal requirements and company standards.
Client Management:
Act as a key point of contact for clients, keeping them informed about the progress of jobs and addressing queries effectively. Collaborate with Partners to manage client relationships and escalate matters when necessary.
Task Delegation and Management:
Delegate tasks within the team to ensure that jobs are completed accurately, professionally, and within compliance deadlines and budgeted timescales.
Business Development:
Proactively identify opportunities for clients to improve their business performance and promote additional products and services offered.
Budget Planning and Financial Management:
Collaborate with Partners to plan client budget targets and ensure that tasks are completed within budgeted timescales.
Record-Keeping and Productivity Evaluation:
Accurately record activity codes on timesheets to facilitate the evaluation of company and individual productivity targets.
Communication:
Maintain friendly, helpful, and professional communication with clients at all times.
Confidentiality:
Manage client matters with strict confidentiality and discretion.
Knowledge & Skills:
Possess relevant technical knowledge and expertise in audit, accounts, taxation, and business-related services.
Familiarity with relevant legislation and general office procedures.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
