Attendance Officer

Location: Newham

Start date: ASAP Start

Pay: £15-£18 per hour

A fantastic Secondary School in Newham is seeking a full-time Attendance Officer for a full time role. The position will be a long-term role until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

 Responsibilities:

• Maintaining attendance records for all students
• Communicating with parents and  guardians regarding student attendance and absence
• Assisting with the administration for school trips and other events
• Collaborating with academic staff and other members of the support team to promote good attendance and punctuality

Requirements:

• At least 6 months experience working in a school administration role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong SIMS knowledge
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with database management and record keeping
• Familiarity with the requirements of the school setting and education sector
