ATE UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT - BRISTOL - �23K - �27K WITH HYBRID WORKING



My client is a leading name within general insurance and they are currently recruiting for a highly professional ATE Underwriting Assistant to join their growing team in Bristol.

The ATE Underwriting Assistant will be primarily responsible for :




  • Reviewing applications for ATE policies that do not meet the automatic acceptance criteria, within a set authority.�

  • Assisting solicitors to make the policies as accurate as possible, for example, adding a new Defendant as a case has progressed, or transferring the policy to a new solicitor.

  • You will also be responsible for making sure premiums are applied correctly when a case is successful.

  • You will build close relationships with the solicitors and fee earners you encounter, and thus will need to respond promptly & efficiently to all their queries. Queries can range from issues submitting details of the claim to questions about premium payment.

  • Working in a regulated industry, you will need to ensure all your tasks are completed within prescribed authority limits and in line with procedures.�

All applicants must be highly organised, with good numeracy and literacy skills. Working towards CII qualifications is desirable.
