The Assure Exposure Business Analyst / SME role is primarily responsible for guiding the development and ongoing enhancement of the strategic exposure management software product, in order to create and maintain a market leading offering to existing customers and new prospects. This will require a close working relationship with the software development team, utilizing extensive commercial insurance experience and exposure management expertise.

Current knowledge of the related software market and assessment of competitive systems will be required to shape the delivery of a 'best of breed' system for use by insurance entities in the London market and around the world.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Assess current functionality in the Assure Exposure product and identify features to be added in priority order to deliver a 'best of breed' offering.
• Provide prioritization of development based on specific customer needs and prospect interest to ensure maximum value is delivered as early as possible.
• Analyse and report on differences between Assure Exposure and competitive products, making recommendations on functionality to be developed that would have the biggest impact on winning new deals and maximizing revenue as a result.
• Interact regularly with the development team to ensure a correct understanding of requirements and respond to questions in a timely manner.
• Support the QA team to ensure test cases reflect business functions being developed and that overall test coverage is incrementally increased with each release.

• Provide inputs to software release planning events including feature estimates as required.

• Support the communication of existing Assure Exposure functions to customers and prospects as part of the sales process, supporting demos of existing and new functionality as needed.

• Support implementation teams in determining customer requirements, identifying current gaps in Assure Exposure functionality and potential workarounds where available.
• On an occasional basis engage with customer SME's in workshops or other methods of interaction to elicit business requirements and solution objectives.
• Adhere to and contribute towards the enhancement of best practice design and configuration of DXC software products.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Expertise in Exposure Management systems and processes applicable to UK based as well as international insurance entities of varying sizes.
• Working knowledge of one or preferably two or more insurance exposure management systems with knowledge the functionality provided by each to a level where current 'best of breed' features can be identified and articulated when preparing comparative analysis.
• Significant experience in the commercial insurance market, London Market preferred, but also with exposure to global insurance processes.

• Experience of configuring/using enterprise level insurance software solutions as they relate to exposure management functionality.

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience of at least one insurance software product.
• Insurance exposure system implementation experience gained working for a software vendor or insurance entity.

• Strong SQL skills, in particular procedural SQL including ability to construct SQL queries, views, triggers and stored procedures.

• Experience of Agile, preferably SAFe
