Location: Coulsdon, South London (hybrid)
Day Rate: £350 - £400 per day (outside IR35)
Contract Length: Initial 2-months contract.
Immediate start for an experienced rail Assurance Engineer based in London.

The Civils & Infrastructure division at Ford & Stanley are proud to be working with a well-established technology and civils-based rail company who are looking for an experience Assurance Engineer on a contract basis. This role is to assist in delivering a multimillion-pound (£55m) project to roll out over 500 CCTV cameras across the Piccadilly line. This project falls into the 'implementation phase' where our client will be rolling out the structures that will house the CCTV cameras. This means a large amount of steel and concrete (civil based) will be utilised during critical timings to ensure minimal disturbance to the Piccadilly line.
Role & Responsibilities: As Assurance Engineer, you will be working closely with the Assurance Manager. As the project progresses there is an expediential increase in tasks both in terms of number and content of assurance processes, reviews, and reporting. Main duties will be:
  • Assist in managing assurance through the life cycle stages aiming to achieve incremental acceptance with the client.
  • Assist in the management of Inspection and Test Plans through to close out.
  • Ensuring design documentation / drawings meet the scope of work requirements.
  • Assure and manage project handover documentation to project completion.
  • Complete allocated works in accordance with program timescales.
  • Monitor progress of works, advising the Project Manager at agreed periodicities, and agreeing alterations to programs of work or working patterns as required.
  • Assurance of design documentation as a checker, reviewer, or approver.
  • Supporting the Quality department in deliverables that cross over into Assurance and KPI’s.


Key Criteria
:
Essential: Minimum of 3 years Assurance Engineering experience
Essential: Rail experience with exposure to TfL and/or LUL
Essential: Able to commute to Coulsdon 3-days per week
