With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Given the growth and expansion of our Rail South business area, we are needing an Associate Technical Director (Fire Safety Engineering) who will be responsible for providing the technical leadership for assigned projects ensuring successful delivery of Fire Engineering services in railway environment.In Engineering, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together.We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.Role accountabilities:You will be contributing technical leadership for the development of Fire Safety Engineering designs, surveys and project assessment. The role also covers line management responsibilities for the development and performance management of team members, influence and lead the development and growth through strategic inputs, bringing market intelligence, skill development, mentoring and bringing required talent and manage the evaluation of technical competence of staff proposed projects and identify specific training or any mentoring needs.Qualifications & Experience:Technical specialist in Fire Safety Engineering working as technical authority for discipline with desired level of project and people management skills.Proven knowledge of Fire Systems Engineering, installations and commissioningExperience in delivering technically excellent projects to London Underground, Network Rail, D&B Contractors, and other clients.Demonstrated ability in leadership across geographically dispersed teams.Technology enabled and experience of project delivery in 3D BIM environments, including use of common data environments such as ProjectWise.BEng/BSc Degree qualified in Safety and Fire Engineering; MEng / MSc preferred.Professional membership with Institution of Fire Engineers, Chartered Engineer (CEng) is a plus.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
