The project management team, catering to investors, developers, landlords, owner-occupiers, and tenants, oversees property development, refurbishment, or fit-out across various sectors. Their comprehensive services encompass project and programme management, risk management, procurement, programming, contract administration, and strategic project consultancy. The national team of project managers, specialists in diverse property sectors, delivers tailored expertise in office, industrial, logistics, mixed-use, retail, and residential development projects. Combining skills from chartered building surveying, project management, and structural engineering backgrounds, they provide an extensive national service.

From their Cambridge office, they seek an experienced Senior/Associate Project Manager to join their team. The role is open to specialists in specific fields or versatile individuals.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Assist in leading and managing the Project Management team
  • Manage clients and explore further opportunities
  • Participate in business development forums like Sector Groups
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Discipline across all offices
  • Contribute to group growth with new and repeat clients
  • Establish a detailed client brief and consultants' responsibilities
  • Set up communication and reporting procedures with the client and design team
  • Organise feasibility studies, including site surveys and investigation
  • Advise on/select necessary consultants and specialists
  • Coordinate and obtain planning consents and statutory approvals
  • Prepare and maintain the master programme for pre and post-contract activities
  • Monitor financial aspects from inception to completion, including cash flow forecasts and project expenditure
  • Manage the Design Team, leading on risk and value management
  • Interview and select contractors, evaluate tenders, and appoint contractors
  • Inspect and monitor construction works for quality and conformity
  • Oversee administration of the Building Contract, including instructions and certificates
  • Chair progress, coordination, and project meetings throughout the contract period
  • Provide regular reports to clients on all project aspects, inspections, and scheduling
  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for projects

Experience and Skills Required


  • Ideally chartered RICS, CIOB, RIBA, MICE
  • BSc/MSc in a relevant engineering/project management-related subject
  • Significant experience in a similar role
  • Substantial consultancy construction project management experience
  • Ability to lead projects and client relationships with limited support
  • Capability to set up and drive new projects from inception to completion
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Project and/or Asta PowerProject
