Associate Professor of Molecular Cardiology

About the role:
Warwick is home to a world-class centre of excellence in mechanobiology spanning work at the molecular, cellular and tissue scales (www.mechanochemistry.org). We now seek to appoint an Assistant/Associate Professor, who is pursuing research into how disruption of electrical and/or mechanobiology functions contributes to human pathologies, and in particular cardiac disorders. With opportunities to build a transdisciplinary team with leading clinical electrophysiologists at the University hospital, this is a unique opportunity to build a new research programme dedicated to understanding and solving important human cardiac diseases. The role will be based at our purpose-built institute, dedicated to translational medicine, Clinical Sciences Research Laboratory (CSRL) at UHCW.

About you:
We welcome applicants whose research addresses mechanobiology questions related to the cardiovascular system, regardless of experimental model and/or type of experimental approaches (including computational) used. You must have extensive research experience and training, including a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline and postdoctoral experience.
You will be expected to establish a productive, internationally recognised research programme that generates peer-reviewed publications and is supported by external funding.
