About the roleThe School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Leicester is hiring an Associate Professor to join their team. With strong research links to Space Park Leicester, the Institute for Environmental Futures, School of Geography, Geology and the Environment, the Leicester Institute for Precision Medicine, and the Department of Genetics & Genome Biology, the School seeks to make significant contribution to its research profile in computational mathematics, mathematical and computational modelling, mathematical biology, statistics, statistical mechanics, (stochastic) dynamical systems, mathematics of Planet Earth, Artificial Intelligence, data science, or other areas consistent with our existing strengths and future ambitions.
The successful candidate will join a cooperative and friendly atmosphere, working hard alongside ambitious staff and students to deliver high-quality teaching and research. You will be expected to undertake teaching, tutoring, and project supervision across a range of mathematics and statistics courses, as well as supporting the development of new programmes and courses in mathematics.
