Associate - PBSA Valuation & Advisory
Location - Portman Square, London
Cushman & Wakefield is going through an exciting period of growth to expand its Living teams across Build to Rent, PRS, Student Accommodation, Senior Living and the wider residential and land markets.
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Valuer to join our team, specialising in Student Accommodation for a wide range of clients including investors, developers and private companies.
Using robust methodology and yields, custom market data as well as intelligence on properties' operational costs, we have valued student housing in excess of £2.75bn from over 130 different schemes, accounting for around 15% of the total private student housing stock.
Working closely with colleagues in transactional teams, our PBSA Valuation & Advisory team advises clients across the UK and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake existing valuation mandates and start to build contacts to attract new business
• Work in an efficient and successful manner
• Prepare valuations and strategic advice to a wide variety of clients
• Be able to take day to day responsibility for execution of instructions under minimum supervision
• Coordinate the use of larger teams across the valuation department (UK and Europe)
• Promote the service line to existing and prospective clients
• Start to develop a profile in the marketplace through building key client relationships
• Play an active role in the development of more junior team members
• Prepare valuation reports, in various formats
Skills and knowledge
• Approximately 3-4 years post professional qualification
• Valuation experience preferred;
• Competent in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Analytical skills to be able to draw out market trends and information
• Able to form and justify opinions on property values
• Confidence in prioritisation and working to deadlines
• MRICS qualified
• RICS Registered Valuer - (preferred but not essential)
