A good fit will be curious and keen to learn and will love being part of a team. What you'll be doing: Lead in managing smaller contentious consumer claims across the EMEA region (working with local counsel outside of the UK), and support on larger scale consumer, commercial and competition litigation matters. Specifically: Review, and gather input for, submissions and briefs; Support document review and production; Conduct legal research into issues relevant to litigation matters; Work with outside counsel to develop work plans and calendar / track key dates; Handle outside counsel litigation budgets and billing; and Design processes for file and document management. Build processes and best practices for matter management. Work with other legal and business teams on issues related to legal privilege, document retention and litigation risk. Triage, review, and prioritise a high volume of time sensitive requests from EMEA law enforcement agencies, including national police agencies. Collaborate with internal teams to investigate EMEA law enforcement requests and gather and filter data to respond to these requests in accordance with internal policies. Serve as a key contact point for EMEA law enforcement, answering follow-up questions and maintaining positive relationships. Handle, or provide internal training and support to enable, proactive reporting to EMEA law enforcement, were vital. Enhance operational workflows via process and policy improvements. What we're looking for: Proven tenure and paralegal experience in a similar role, preferably involving large scale regulatory investigations (such as commercial, class action, regulatory and competition-related lawsuits either in-house or at a law firm); as well as work with law enforcement agenciesUndergraduate degree (e.g., B.A. or B.S.) or alternative proven experience. Experience of reviewing sensitive or confidential content in accordance with internal policies. Experience with document collection and production of emails and other electronic documents in complex litigation matters. Strong research and organisational skills and an ability to multi-task and meet contending priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to assess when to escalate to other team members. Willingness to dive into ambiguous issues and situations, requiring you to be a creative problem solver. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to adjust your communication style to reflect the needs of different audiences. Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to accurately analyse legal documents. Experience with eDiscovery platforms, such as Relativity and Office 365 eDiscovery an advantage but not essential. Experience, or a willingness to become familiar, with commonly used in-house matter management and legal billing tools Discretionary bonus opportunityHybrid Working (within Flexmodes)Private Medical Insurance25 days holiday per yearOn Site GymFree soft drinksAccess to cycle garage and showersEqual Opportunity Statement:Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
