SSQ is partnering with a global organization, whose focus is on fostering fair societies by combating misinformation spread through social media and big tech.The RoleOur client is looking to hire an Associate General Counsel to lead the international in-house legal function! This role offers the chance to contribute to their philanthropic mission by implementing internal compliance measures and innovative legal solutions. Responsibilities include advising on data privacy, intellectual property, contract negotiations, and charity law. You'll also serve as the primary legal advisor to their Risk Management Team, providing timely guidance to stakeholders. Based in London, UK, you'll report directly to the General Counsel and have two direct reports.RequirementsQualified solicitor (10+ PQE ideally) Strong knowledge in data protection and contract negotiationFamiliarity with nonprofit or charitable organizations, preferably in the US and/or UKExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify legal conceptsStrong prioritization skills and ability to build relationships across teamsCorporate governance experience and interest in issues such as democracy and human rights**Kindly be advised that, due to the high volume of applications, SSQ is unable to respond individually to each submission.
