Role Purpose:
My client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Editor to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting the timely delivery of medical education materials that are accurate, compliant, and of the highest quality. The Associate Editor will take on editorial responsibilities for specific accounts, serving as the day-to-day editorial contact for clients and the Programme Delivery Team.
Responsibilities:
Compliance Management:
Support compliance management by understanding and implementing the standard PromoMats/iMR/GCMA approval process for a range of materials.
Create job bags and upload references in PromoMats/iMR/GCMA.
Reference materials with primary supporting data.
Apply the ABPI Code of Practice (or other relevant statutory requirements) to different materials.
Recognize that the approval process differs between clients and materials.
Editorial Support:
Provide editorial support to deliver high-quality materials.
Proofread and check the accuracy of materials to a consistently high standard.
Use PowerPoint to edit simple slides by formatting text, figures, graphs, and animations.
Critically review the look and feel of materials and make suggestions for improvements.
Follow internal processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
Client Liaison:
Confidently answer routine client queries about the compliance process/status of materials.
Programme Delivery Team Support:
Answer questions about the standard compliance process for assigned accounts.
Support the project management of the compliance process by proactively raising potential issues and suggesting solutions.
Complete timesheets accurately and support the reconciliation of projects.
Be aware of project budgets and timelines and proactively raise potential issues.
Act as the day-to-day editorial contact for the Programme Delivery Team on assigned accounts.
Collaboration:
Support and take initiative to keep projects moving.
Identify and volunteer to take on work to help the team.
Be prepared for and contribute to internal meetings.
Resource Management:
Confidently brief and provide feedback to freelancers, with support from senior team members as required.
Manage own workload and communicate with colleagues to ensure efficient use of allocated freelance time.
Management and Leadership:
Support new team members by being a buddy and/or assisting with one or more elements of the induction process.
