As the new Associate Director, you'll be joining an award-winning building consultancy, delivering a range of buildings to a multifaceted mix of public and private sector clients. The team is a multidisciplinary team who provide for a mixture of public sector and private sector clients, working on a variety of small to large scale projects and varying degrees of complexity. Their aim is to provide services and support the local community.
Your new role
Due to ongoing progression and client development, this organisation is looking for their next Associate Director, leading the Quantity Surveying and Project Management team. As the new Associate Director, you'll be guiding and leading the project delivery team and being the key client contact. You'll be managing a surveying team and ensuring resources are deployed and fully utilized to meet tight deadlines and schedules. Other responsibilities and accountabilities include:
Developing and implementing plans, approaches, schedules and improvement programmes.
Managing commercial and contractual arrangements, associated with projects and works to ensure financial and contractual obligations are met.
Following up with and ensuring work undertaken meets the quality standards expected by customers.
Preparing and sending to stakeholders in regard to financial and management reports.
Reporting and feeding back progress where appropriate.
Managing and maximizing cash flow to meet company standards and budgets.
Resolving commercial and contractual disputes to arrive at a fair and mutual agreement between the customer and contract.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you'll need to have demonstrated experience within the industry with leadership and management experience. This role carries a managerial responsibility, including managing colleagues and their performance, disciplinary responsibility and being accountable for colleague development. Therefore, some experience in this would be desirable. You'll also need to have:
Professional Chartered membership or RICS qualified
Good knowledge of a range of construction contract procedures and financial regulations
Business development and relationship building
Full UK Driving Licence
What you'll get in return
The salary for this role is between £55,000 - £65,000, DoE. You'll be joining a successful and developing business, with the ability to join at a senior level. Additional benefits include:
