Frimley Health Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, experienced, and strong operational leader who will lead Women's and Children's services to delivering exceptional patient focused care. Accountable to the Chief Operating Officer and responsible to the specific Chiefs of Service, the Associate Director will provide effective leadership and is a key member of the Trust's senior management teams. Utilising their exceptional leadership skills, the successful applicant will work alongside two Departmental Triumvirates (Paediatrics and Neonatology & Obstetrics and Gynaecology) as well as Heads of Midwifery and Nursing, Matrons, Clinical Leads and Operational Managers to ensure the Trusts and the Divisions operational and strategic objectives are met and that services run safely, effectively and efficiently.Main duties of the jobThe Associate Director is responsible for the delivery of financial, quality, performance, productivity and workforce targets, including national targets and objectives set as part of Trust business planning process. The successful candidate will be expected to oversee the financial control of a sizeable budget (circa 70M+), including pay, non-pay and income. Main Duties include but not limited to

Master's level qualification in a relevant area of long-term equivalent level of experience in related field at senior management level Indepth senior and professional knowledge where applicable across a number of discipplines

Knowledge of techniques and tools such as Prince 2 or Managing Successful Projects
ExperienceEssential
Extensive senior management experience working in an acute NHS hospital. Extensive senior management NHS experience and knowledge in a role of direct accountability for operational services and patient flow within a large acute hospital Knowledge and experience of developments in healthcare, including patient safety, improvement programmes, patient flow and discharge. Experience of managing a significant budget
Desirable
oGood working knowledge of clinical governance and patient quality initiatives
Skills & KnowledgeEssential
High level analytical skills and the ability to draw qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources and present in clear and concise manner Ability to manage difficult workforce issues and deal with complex employee relations issues.
