You will work closely with clinical leaders, operational teams, and external partners to drive excellence, innovation, and patient-centred care.Main duties of the jobAs the Associate Director of Operations for Surgery and Critical Care, you will play a pivotal role in our journey toward excellence. This includes:Strategic leadership: Collaborate with the Divisional Director, Associate Director of Nursing and other senior leaders to develop and implement the division’s strategy. Your focus will be on optimising surgical pathways, enhancing critical care services, and ensuring seamless patient flow.Elective Hub Development: PAHT is actively developing anelective hubin partnership with our Integrated Care System (ICS). As the Associate Director, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and management of this hub, streamlining elective procedures and improving patient access.Robotics in Healthcare: Our commitment to innovation extends to robotics within surgery and healthcare. Your role will involve exploring and implementing advanced robotic-assisted procedures, enhancing precision, and improving patient outcomes.Personal and professional development: We are dedicated to your growth. Meeting contractual and national performance requirements
Managing resources efficiently and within budget
Promoting a positive organisational culture which supports and develops staff and protects patients.
Contributing to the longer-term strategic planning, risk management and sustainability of the Trust and its services
Proactively manage the relationships with commissioners and partners including those at Place, and in the Integrated Care System.
