The individual will be an astute leader who possesses significant understanding of, and ability to, apply corporate and commercial accounting principles. The Associate Director of Commercial Finance will form part of the PPU board and will report to the Unit Director.With the support of the Director of the unit and Director of Financial Performance, the successful candidate will set the financial strategy, maintain a healthy and sustainable budget statement (applying commercial and NHS accounting principles), critically appraise and challenge business proposals,and will support high-level negotiation with business-to-business (B2B)customers (e.g., private medical insurers, international embassies).The NHS FT and Private Patients Unit believes in developing talent so the successful individual will be supported with any relevant training and mentorship necessary for success in the role.
