Associate Director / Director (Manchester or London) - two sector-specific, senior, agency hires

I am working with a leading PR, social and creative communications agency which is looking to make two senior hires. This is a national agency, housing over 100 people across the UK. It's HQ is in Manchester, and that would be the preferred location for these roles. However London is also an option.
First and foremost this agency has fostered a superb culture. It is independently run, employee-owned and one of the top employers in the PR sector. It has featured in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies list for four years, and is the most-awarded agency in the PRWeek Best Places to Work awards over the last six years.
The senior team combines people who've worked up through the business, along side those who have come from bigger agencies, perhaps in search of a better work life balance, and in some cases a relocation away from London. There is a genuine down to earth, straightforward feel to the agency, with everyone simply focused on getting on with the job and delivering for clients, minus the drama. The results speak for themselves, with a track record of beating the best in the business in pitches, keeping clients longer than most, and retaining talent longer than most.
The agency is growing its senior team and would love to hear from experienced PR consultants interested in a new challenge. There are two, sector-specific, roles available:
- the first is for someone with experience in corporate comms and ideally public affairs work, in the energy, utilities and industrials sectors.
- the second is to help grow the food and drink practice, building on existing relationships with some major brands in the sector. The team is keen to meet people with corporate comms experience working with clients in the food, drink and FMCG sectors, as well as a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape in which they operate.
Both roles will sit around Associate Director or Director level. As a guide that could be anything from £60-85k in Manchester, more if based in London.
These roles will suit people with previous agency experience advising organisations at a senior level, who enjoy leading client programmes and developing teams. As a leader in the agency you will have decision making authority, commercial responsibility and work with a wide range of specialists across the business, from research and analytics to talent development and creative. You will also need to be comfortable hunting new business and networking.
