A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is on the lookout for an Associate Director level Building Surveyor to join their team in Birmingham.

The Associate Director Building Surveyor will play a pivotal role in project delivery, working across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, education, care, office, life science, retail, and leisure.

The Associate Director Building Surveyor role

The selected Associate Director Building Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing a diverse range of projects, ensuring high-quality delivery that aligns with the consultancy's standards.

This role is not only about leading by example in technical and professional capacities but also involves supporting and guiding the team towards achieving excellence in their respective projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading project delivery across a broad spectrum of sectors, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
  • Supporting the team with their professional development, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and progression within the consultancy.
  • Involvement in business development activities, helping to secure new projects and maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients.
  • Taking managerial responsibility, which includes nurturing the team's capabilities and supporting Assistant Building Surveyors in their professional qualifications.

The Associate Director Building Surveyor

  • Chartered with MRICS, showcasing a commitment to professionalism and a high standard of knowledge and ethics in building surveying.
  • Experience in leading projects across a variety of sectors such as commercial, residential, education, care, office, life science, retail, and leisure.
  • Proven managerial and leadership skills, capable of mentoring and developing team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and maintain strong professional relationships.
