As the Associate Director of Automation Delivery, you will work with the Director of Cloud as part of the Technology Senior Management team at the Aztec Group. You are an experienced and dynamic leader who is in charge of the successful delivery of automation-related projects and programs in an agile environment. This means you will plan and execute delivery strategies, manage resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the required quality standards. You will also work closely with clients and stakeholders to meet their needs and make sure they are happy with the delivered automation product or service. You will act as the liaison between the agile internal automation function and vendors, the Process Optimisation and Digitisation team and the traditional Programme Management office.Aztec is undergoing a major transformation programme that focuses on automation as the key driver of change for both the business and the clients. After finishing our cloud migration programme, we have the basis for fast automation delivery to help the business cut down manual processing and operational risk.Key responsibilities:Develop and execute delivery plans for complex automation-related projects and programs using agile methodologies within a stage-gate project framework.Planning and managing resources and ensure that projects are staffed with the appropriate skills and experience, from both in-house and vender-supplied near-shore teams.Estimation and forecasting of cost to deliver outcomes, informing project, programme, and departmental budgets.Monitor and track project progress against milestones and deadlines, reporting upwardly to the Programme Management Office.Identify and manage risks and escalate issues to senior management as needed.Communicate with clients and stakeholders throughout the delivery process.Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Coach and mentor automation teams on agile development methodologies and broader project management frameworks, working closely with the in-house and vender-supplied Scrum Masters.Collaborate with third party vendors to align the priority of initiatives and delivery that are inter-dependent.Facilitate continuous improvement of automation delivery processes.Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in automation delivery and agile methodologies, specifically within the financial services industry.Skills, knowledge, expertise:10+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably in the context of automation and analytics.Experience in delivering complex automation-related projects and programs on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, using agile methodologies.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or KanbanExperience with financial services industry automation management and automation engineering tools and technologies.Experience with financial services industry automation regulations and compliance requirements.Experience delivering cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Who are we?Aztec Group has come a long way since first opening its doors in Jersey back in 2001.
