Accounts Assistant - Healthcare

About the team


Our Healthcare team work to support our clients to deliver high quality services to GP clients, within set time scales to better run their finance functions, understand their financial position and performance, and to ensure they are compliant with changing accounting and tax legislation whilst studying towards a professional qualification. With the relentless pace of technology change our teams advise clients in areas such as process and digitalisation, business performance and financial reporting, while building enduring relationships that positions Mazars as a trusted adviser.


 


 


About the role 



  • To assist with the preparation of key documents as part of a high-quality service to healthcare clients – these include accounts, tax returns, superannuation certificates and benchmarking reports

  • To assist with maintaining the accounting records and preparing management accounts or cashflows for clients

  • To raise the profile of the firm by ensuring clients are fully satisfied by the service and support they receive and that they are aware of all other services.


 


 


What are we looking for?



  • AAT qualified or equivalent experience preferred

  • Practical accounts preparation experience in a practice environment preferred



  • Working knowledge of accounting packages such as Xero

  • Keen to study towards ACCA professional qualification.


 


This role will be largely based in either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices.
