Associate - Board Level Executive Search Firm

Posted 25 days ago

Job Description
Maiden Marc Associates is working to add several Associate and Senior Associate-level candidates to a leading boutique Executive Search firm that covers Board and director-level placements across Finance Services, Industrials, Technology Media and Telecoms, Private Equity, and the Consumer space. They are consistently retained on 'C-Suite Level' searches by some of the most prestigious institutions across EMEA, North America, and Asia.
Established in 2000 with an ambition to become unrivalled in their market knowledge and reputation, they have succeeded in building a brand respected by clients, candidates, and competitors alike. They are widely considered one of the industry's best boutique retained search firms.
As a business, they promote organic growth and foster a genuine meritocratic environment. Almost all current Partners started within the business as Associates and have grown with the company.
Joining in at either Associate or Senior Associate level with a base of £38,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience) plus a performance-weighted bonus structure, you will develop with the long-term aim of moving into a revenue-generating Consulting role as the depth of your sector knowledge increases over your career.
This is achieved through a combination of 'on-desk' market exposure and a rotational development program perfected over their 20+ years of trading. This program gives Associates a balance of senior exposure and strategic involvement in the consulting, delivery and research process - rotating them across four coverage areas and allowing them to specialise in a chosen vertical over time based on performance and personal preference.
As you develop, you will be given responsibility for more significant parts of mandate management and delivery, including:
Identifying, referencing, and assessing potential candidates for retained mandates
Ongoing research and networking to source top performers from talent pools across their core markets
Creating forensic competitor analysis, including strategic overviews, benchmarking, bespoke market and product intelligence reports through referencing and profiling market leaders
Assisting and running the client-side execution of active mandates
Conducting pre-pitch/origination research and due diligence, as well as proactively supporting strategic projects
Active outreach and long-term relationship building with the top talent in the market
The typical profile of a successful candidate would include the following:
Excellent research and academic credentials with a degree or postgraduate qualification
1 to 5 years of commercial experience in recruitment, headhunting, executive search, or transferable professional service experience from consulting, expert networks, law training contracts or grad schemes
A naturally inquisitive, well-organised, structured, resilient, and disciplined personality with a high level of attention to detail
An analytical thinking process coupled with a polished and well-rounded communication technique
Exceptional rapport-building skills and the ability to excel from day one in a commercial, professional and driven environment
A drive to build a career in retained 'C level' executive search within a respected industry leader
Please reach out if you meet the above criteria and are interested in learning more about this opportunity.
