Are you interested in becoming an integral part of a fast paced, growing building services consultancy?Peace Recruitment is currently working with an exciting building services and engineering consultancy based in Edinburgh, as they look to increase their team with the addition of an Associate/Associate Director level Town Planner.Our client specialises in working on some of the most challenging projects within the public and private sectors. They have a focus on highly operational areas which include commercial developments, masterplanning, data centres and industrial developments. There are also a number of international projects they are working on so you would have the opportunity to work on projects further from home. With their clients being some of the top operators in the industry it is essential they bring on board only the best Town Planners.Key Responsibilities:Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholdersActing as a local resource for Scottish clients, attending various meetings solo/or with support from Directors/Partners Managing small and medium scale projects which are usually in Scotland however potentially assisting with projects across UK dependent on workload/specialisms within the team.Undertaking project management responsibilities on local projects (e.g., completion of Compass PM System, invoicing, etc.) – there will be support with this.Partaking in Edinburgh office initiatives such as client events, business planning activities, etc.Supporting Directors/Principals on larger scale projects.Attending networking/business developments events in Central Belt area of Scotland (either solo or with other members of Planning team).Requirements:7+ years experience as a Town Planner with extensive experience working on UK based projects.Strong client facing person who is an excellent communicator and able to liaise with clients directly, run projects and lead a team effectively.Resolving issues and understanding of the local market and local market challenges.Strong network and contacts in the local industry.Excellent time management skills.Someone who can manage all relevant budgets/invoicing or who has experience on the more managerial side of things would be advantageous.Experience with the delivery of projects at all sizes – this client would consider someone coming from a competitor or someone who has acted as a sole trader previously.A desire to further develop the team – there is a long term plan to build the team with the addition of a couple of graduates which the successful candidate will be involved in recruiting.You must be a chartered member of the RTPI.On Offer:Salary between 70k - 80k DOE. If you are slightly below or slightly above this please do still apply.Team performance based bonus.Company Pension scheme 4% employee (minimum), 7% employer (fixed)28 days holiday plus bank holidays. This increases by a day for every 2 years of service.
