JOB TITLE: Associate – Insurance CoverageLOCATION: LondonHOURS: Full TimeWORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time at our London office.About this opportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our Insurance Coverage team. The Insurance Coverage team sits within the Institutional client coverage business within Commercial and Institutional Banking ('CIB') operating across the UK and North America. You'll support the Insurance team achieve our growth strategy and help grow the Insurance business by building strong sustainable relationships, allowing us to improve and grow income generation whilst effectively handling risk.Our team is one of the leading providers of Corporate banking products to the Global Insurance sector. Operating in London and New York, it holds extensive relationships with the senior management teams of Life and Non-life insurers and Insurance Brokers across the UK, Europe, Bermuda, and North America.The team is multi-disciplined, with our clients using the full suite of Corporate banking products ranging from complex Debt Financings, Cash Management Solutions and Debt Capital Markets issuances to letters of credit and hedging. We seek to support our team members and offer opportunities for all colleagues to develop.Upon joining the team you will become integral in supporting the team achieve its strategy. We strive to grow the Insurance business by building strong sustainable relationships, allowing us to improve and grow income generation whilst effectively managing risk. Key to this is developing LBG’s profile in the market to attract new business and improve relationships with existing clients.Your accountabilities will include supporting the Associate Directors and Relationship Directors with:Client coverage, leading/supporting the dialogue, many with specialist financing needs, including SPG, SDF lines and DCM requirements.Work closely with Product teams to develop and deliver client origination strategies, including supporting client pitching activities and identification of loan/capital market opportunities.Scoping and supporting new to Bank origination activity.Undertake an active and open dialogue with Insurance Regulators e.g. Lloyd’s of London, PRA, BMASupport the development of Institutional Coverage / Insurance to build on best in class franchise.Execution of structured debt transactions, including client negotiation, structuring, supporting credit analysis / documentation (including liaising with internal stakeholders, including CIDT and Credit).Risk management of portfolio, including analysing companies and writing credit reports.Review, negotiate and support the implementation of legal and other documentation ensuring compliance with credit sanction, Bank and Regulatory policy to minimise risk.Analyse management information to provide reports for senior management to monitor profitability and control risk.Why Lloyds Banking Group?We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good.
