Assistant Warehouse Shift Manager - Afternoon Shift

Grantham 

Shifts Sunday - Thursday 15:00 - 23:30

Salary £33,821 Plus great benefits 

The main purpose of the role is to assist in implementing warehouse plans for the operation to meet current and future customer service requirements and continually improve cost efficiency and quality of service.

The role:

  • Day to day management and planning of the shift operation, ensuring standards and targets are met
  • Managing and motivating a team of personnel
  • Staff utilisation and rota planning
  • Staff recruitment and retention – train and develop direct reports
  • Focus on Staff Engagement
  • Health & Safety & Legal obligations
  • Customer Service
  • Communication

The person:

  • Extensive people management experience, including discipline and training
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Sound understanding of all areas of multi-temperature warehouse operations
  • Flexibility with working hours including weekend cover) and active agent for change

In addition, you should demonstrate initiative towards making positive improvements and attention to detail as well as being able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
