The Company The Client, multi-disciplinary Civil, Environment and Structural Engineering Consultancy, is looking for an Assistant Transport Planner to join the team. They are a consultancy who comprise of highly experienced transport planning specialists with a wealth of knowledge transport planning policy and guidance, provide technical, design and engineering advice and solutions on a wide range of development planning and transport engineering projects. They are involved in projects throughout the UK including residential, educational, and commercial! The Position of an Assistant Transport Planner The successful candidate will support the senior members of staff and be meaningfully engaged in all streams of work, and work on a variety of projects. Typical duties will include developing solutions to transportation problems such as congestion, assessing the environmental impact of new infrastructure plans, designing transport routes and much more. * A degree in either Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Town Planning, Geography, or maths.
* Previous consultancy experience is desirable
* Knowledge of transport methods, costs, and benefits.
* Teamwork and communications skills.
