Assistant Site Manager

My client, a leading national housebuilder is currently looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join their team for an exciting project in Southampton.

The scheme which is 140 units of new build houses and apartments is due to run until 2027. These are a mixture of timber frame and traditional build. 

So previous experience with timber frame is required for this Assistant Site Manager position.

The ideal candidate will have worked for a residental builder, comes from either a trades background or holds a minimum of a HND or HNC in construction Management.

The key responsibilities as an Assistant Site Manager are outlined below and a more detailed job description is available:

• Take ownership for leading site activity and actively work towards delivering agreed project quality and completion by the target date


• Assist in the preparation of project plans, budgets and timelines •


• Interact with site staff, subcontractors and local authorities as required


• Plan, manage and monitor all day-to-day site activity


• Provide technical guidance and advice as well as identify and report any areas requiring improvement


• Oversee Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring all staff are following the guidelines


• Monitor progress and develop timely solutions to ensure deadlines are met The right candidate will need to have over 5 years of experience as an assistant site manager, ideally within housing projects. They will also need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of construction methods, health & safety regulations and quality control.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience


• Strong man management skills


• Competent with It


• SMSTS


• First Aid


• CSCS
