They are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Site/Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of our projects.

Job Description:

As an Assistant Site/Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient and effective management of construction projects within our organization. Working closely with the Project Manager and other project stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your role will encompass a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Project Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager and project team to develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Contribute to the identification of project milestones and critical path activities.

Site Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with project specifications, and identify potential risks or issues. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain efficient workflow on site.

Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold high standards of health and safety at all times. Assist in the implementation and enforcement of site-specific health and safety procedures. Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions as required.

Quality Assurance: Support the Project Manager in ensuring that construction works meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality inspections and audits, and take corrective actions as necessary.

Material and Resource Management: Assist in the procurement and management of construction materials, equipment, and resources. Monitor inventory levels, coordinate deliveries, and manage on-site storage facilities.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and incident reports. Prepare timely reports on project status, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and deviations from the plan.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, client representatives, and other project stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication channels to ensure smooth coordination and resolve any issues that may arise.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains. Proactively contribute to lessons learned sessions and post-project reviews to enhance project delivery practices.

Requirements:

- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

- Previous experience working in the civil engineering sector, specifically with RC frame, drainage and utilities experience.

- Strong understanding of construction methods, techniques, and materials.

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office and project management tools.

- Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate (desirable).
