Opportunity for an aspiring Trainee QS to move into an Assistant QS Role overseeing their own site with commercial team support along the way

Key Assistant Quantity Surveyor role must have's
Basic knowledge of construction and an eagerness to develop skills further
Ability to integrate with architects, engineers and clients to ensure project success
Desire to progress and develop higher up the construction ladder
Excellent problem solving skills to create solutions to challenges provided
Good teamwork where you will be working in a busy site team and help to get the project through to completion

Review costs of proposed projects
Advise and communicate on potential alternative costs solutions
Provide advice on contract arrangements and conditions under which works will be done
Communicate and engage on the cost implications of different construction methods
Assist with the preparation of the tendering documentation
Assist the management of the costs associated with project lifecycle of the construction stages
Take part in client meetings, communicating with parties involved with the projects
Key must have’s you should have as the successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor
HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or coming to the end of Degree
1 – 2 years’ experience in a Trainee Quantity Surveyor role
Driving Licence
Happy to travel to sites and to be office based
