Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a reputable house builder based in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects located in Monmouth and Hereford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Quantity Surveying team throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets


• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications


• Collaborate with project managers and contractors to resolve any cost-related issues


• Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management


• Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field


• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the house building industry


• Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) would be beneficial


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
