Assistant Project Manager

We are recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Lichfield based client. The business specialises in the design and production of innovative vehicle safety and security products. Their products range from cameras and digital video recorders through to reverse parking solutions and their customers range from individuals and small businesses through to extensive fleet work. They are a rapidly growing business and are looking to extend their dedicated and focused team.

As Assistant Project Manager you will aid the running of the project management department taking responsibility for maintaining constructive relationships with a range of internal and external departments. Participating in relevant working groups, projects, services and initiatives to provide information, analytical advice and expertise. The development and implementation of data collection to provide accurate and timely data will be essential in this role.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will need to have/be:

  • Computer literate, including a proficiency with email and MS Office
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with an ability to meet deadline
  • Ability to work co-operatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies
  • Ability to act and operate independently
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Role of Assistant Project Manager:

  • Assisting in the management of Key Accounts
  • Assisting in overseeing a range of projects with different companies
  • Building relationships and liaising with customers
  • Liaising with procurement to ensure required stock levels
  • Liaising with engineers to establish work schedules, including sub-contractors
  • Liaising with after-care engineers to arrange repair visits
  • Liaising with technical and finance departments
  • Preparing kits when required
  • Delivering a high level of customer service
  • Responding to email enquiries
  • Offering technical support when necessary
  • Commissioning vehicles as required
  • Providing feedback to customers
  • Assisting with the retrieval of footage from Digital Video Recorders when required
