Job: Assistant Principal (T&L)School: Secondary Academy, Southwark, Southeast LondonAnnual Salary:Leadership Scale L10 - L15 inner LondonContract: Permanent, full-timeStart date: September 2024Aston Education is working with a popular and growing 11-18 secondary academy in Southwark, Southeast London (inner London), looking for apermanentAssistant Principal to lead on Teaching and Learning.As an Assistant Principal / Assistant Headteacher, you will be responsible for ensuring that lessons provide pupils with a strong educational experience, through the delivery of high quality, consistently delivered learning experiences.The Assistant Principal will support in developing a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring professional learning supports teachers to develop their teaching. You will have an oversight of the provision for ECTs.You might have a background in curriculum, pedagogical development or assessment.You have:Qualified teacher status (QTS)B.Ed. or degree with PGCE or similar qualificationSuccessful completion of course such as NPQSL, NPQMLBackground in curriculum, pedagogical development or assessmentExperience in working across the 11-18 ability rangeProven experience in a middle leadership roleAwareness of national policy and process - e.g. National Curriculum or Specifications at KS4 and KS5Evidence of improving teaching and learning through previous rolesEvidence of the ability to plan strategically, translating school wide initiatives into practiceThe school has state-of-the-art facilities and excellent transport links.
