Assistant Operations Manager
Location: St Leonards On Sea
Salary: Up To £37,000
Rota: Day Shift 7.30 am - 3.30 pm - Monday to Friday
A great opportunity has for an Assistant Operations Manager has come up for a client of mine, duties will include:
* To ensure maximum availability of PSV vehicles and support drivers to meet the contractual and commercial requirements of the Company and to allocate vehicles and drivers in the most efficient manner.
* To control and direct the allocation of PSV vehicles and drivers ensuring compliance with scheduled, timetabled and contracted requirements with the use of AVL systems.
* To liaise with Inspectors, and other Depot Supervisors to ensure that all disruptions are effectively resolved and ensure this is communicated to other bus station staff both internal and external.
* To deal expeditiously with passenger / customer complaints in a caring and professional manner.
* To ensure that all driving staff carry out their duties effectively, adhere to Company’s dress code, comply with the companies drug and alcohol policies, are aware of any amendments / alterations to services and duties, promote good industrial relations and to direct and provide support on methods of working.
* To ensure compliance with driver’s hours rules and regulations and ensuring work is allocated efficiently and effectively
* Actively participate and promote health and safety regulations.
* To ensure completion of all relevant documentation within the Operations Guidance Manual and to comply with the agreed routeing process and timescales.
The successful Assistant Operations Manager will have the right blend of operational experience and worked in the bus and coach industry previously.
Have effective people management skills with the ability to supervise staff and make decisions under pressure.
They will be assertive yet approachable and able to motivate others.
A measure of computer literacy is a necessity, as well as a working knowledge of driver’s hours regulations, motivation and flexible which should include a willing approach to overtime.
Possession of a full UK Driving licence is required and holding a Cat D Licence would be an advantage, however driver training can be provided to the successful Assistant Operations Manager.
