Assistant Operations Manager





Assists the Operations Manager in the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes and warehouse operations







Responsibilities:





Responsible for supporting management of warehouse team (shipping/receiving, inventory accuracy and counts, physical inventory), production team (kit production, scheduling, KPI tracking), facilities (health and safety audits, building maintenance) and vendor management.



Manage supplier performance and coordinate day to day activities with suppliers including couriers, IT support, packaging materials, MRO supplies, and building maintenance.� Responsible for personal and professional process control.



Ensure the facility is well maintained including (power, compressed air, heating and cooling), oversee preventative maintenance schedules.



Responsible for Health, Safety and Risk Assessment



Will assume key responsibilities in the absence of the Operations Manager



Ensures compliance with and/or follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary



Handles various other duties as delegated by the Operations Manager





In accordance with applicable policies/procedures, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities:� Interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; enforcing all safety rules and ensuring safe working procedures.� A natural problem solver, with the ability to suggest new ways of working to benefit the organization.





Experience:






  • Degree in Management or a related field required (scientific background preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production/Warehouse Management required that includes the following:

    • Good understanding of Warehouse management and procedures

    • Good understanding of logistics

    • Health and Safety knowledge

    • Good understanding / knowledge of Supply chain software



  • Previous supervisory experience managing direct reports.

  • Storage and handling of sensitive temperature-controlled components

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and ERP systems, Adobe Acrobat, with experience of Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred but not essential
