We aim for being the first to do the right thing at the right time.The Assistant Accountant is a key role in the finance team assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts, Bank Reconciliations and Intercompany Accounting. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be ambitious and keen to progress through the finance function. This role will provide study support towards CIMA/ACCA qualifications.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all daily banking postings & reconciliation and full month end reconciliation by workday 1.Responsible for ensuring all Intercompany invoices & recharges are posted correctly and are agreed with Group entities including the monthly Group recharge (bottoms up)Responsible for VAT accounts reconciliation and VAT returnsResponsible for maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation journalsResponsible for managing company cars administration & salary sacrifice schemeResponsible for petty cash posting and reconciliationWork with the Management Accountant & Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly management accounts during the tight month end windowAssist with the month end accounting, accruals, prepayments and journalsAssist with the month end Customer sales and cost of sales analysis and investigationSupport with annual P11D's, PSA ReturnsSupport with R&D claimsAssist with adhering to Group Transfer Pricing PolicyAssist with accounting systems development & process improvementsAssist with internal audit queries and external audit & tax queriesAssist with balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with foreign currency buying and sellingAssist with quarterly stock take for the repair centre and general stockCover for Accounts Assistant & Management AccountantAssist with ad hoc reportingExperience and QualificationsWorking towards a professional qualification (CIMA or ACCA)2+ years experience in a relevant finance roleStrong excel & system skills, with ideally working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite or a similar ERP systemExperience of financial and management accountingExperience in practice accounting would be beneficialSkills/Behaviours DesiredSelf-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skillsAbility to prioritise workload and remain organised while meeting tight deadlinesAttention to detail, right first time attitudeBe confident and enthusiastic in order to add value to the team and the business.Körber Supply Chain Software better enables those who move goods to do good when we prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion.
