We are also part of Arriva who have a large and diverse portfolio of train and bus operating companies in the UK and Europe.Contract; this is a fixed term contract working Monday to Friday with hybrid working options.What will I be doing as an Assistant Management Accountant?Reporting into the Management Accountant you will assist to secure the integrity of the financial data. You will assist with periodic financial accounting and reporting to various departments within Grand Central. Duties will include but not limited to;Assisting with month end accountsCalculating and posting accruals and prepaymentsMaintaining and supporting accruals analysisCarrying out profit and loss variance analysis, and commentary against budgetsBalance sheet account reconciliationsAnalysing financial resultsProviding support to budget holders analysing cost/sales informationReporting on periodic numbersSupporting the Management AccountantWhat will I need to be successful as an Assistant Management Accountant?Previous experience as an Assistant to Financial Accountant or Management Accountant roleExcellent attention to detailProficient user of Microsoft Office packagesAbility to manage competing and strict deadlines.Grand Central Benefits:Contributory Pension Scheme: Arriva Workplace Pension Plan (AWPP) provided by Standard LifeUnlimited Free Travel for you and your immediate family on all Grand Central services.
