Assistant Management Accountant

�30,000 - �35,000 per annum (depending on skills and abilities)
Permanent role in Wrexham.

Full time or part time hours are an option.

The Role:

Due to company expansion, our client is recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant who will report to the Finance Manager. The role will involve supporting the provision of financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to the Management team.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant

  • In conjunction with the Finance Manager, create a suite of standard reports and a dashboard to enable the analysis of financial data.
  • In conjunction with Finance Manager Provide regular standard analysis and forecasting of routine financial information, costs, overheads, pricing, sales, performance, bad debt, credit limits etc.
  • Support Finance Manager the provision of a rolling P&L and cashflow forecast.
  • Provide input to the company budgeting process.
  • Support the preparation of Management accounts, accruals and prepayments.
  • Manage the input of payroll information, liaising with the payroll provider to resolve any queries.
  • Support the preparation of the Company VAT return.
  • Produce monthly Sales figures, margin reports and analysis.
  • Actively work with Assistant Accountant to review currency.

Requirements of the Assistant Management Accountant

  • Studying towards AAT Level 3 or 4, part qualified accountant (CIMA or similar) or qualified by experience would be considered for this role.
  • Previous experience of working as part of an accounting or financial team .
  • Payroll and advanced excel experience.
  • Understanding of banking processes.
  • Good standard of education including GCSE passes in English & Maths.
  • Good working knowledge of Sage or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial information for non-finance literate colleagues.
  • Experience or knowledge of working in the Food/Manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
