MC Technical Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Assistant Laboratory Manager for a leader in Waste Management solutions and recycling.

Our client operates a range of waste management and state of the art recycling facilities across the UK and seeking an Assistant Manager to manage a team of Chemists and outside operators to support the Plant Manager.

As the Assistant Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Manage, support and train a team of chemists and site operators
• Allocate operations, maintenance and admin workloads and ensure best practice is followed at all times
• Supporting Plant manager with site management responsibilities  
• Ensure the site is fully compliant in health and safety and environmental compliance standards
• Laise with external contractors and third parties

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Supervisory experience in a recycling or laboratory environment
• A technical qualification in Chemistry, chemical engineering or relevant subject at HNC, HNC or Degree level
• Willingness to work outside when necessary
