Assistant Industrial Door Engineer

Infinity Employment�are proud to be recruiting for an�Industrial Door Engineer Assistant�for our Specialist Engineering client based near�Peterborough.

The�Industrial Door Engineer Assistant role will be field based reporting to the office as required working with a fully qualified Industrial Door Engineer, the successful applicant will be expected to help assist with the planned work day by day, week by week. Their work will include a mixture of scheduled and responsive tasks. Tasks will involve attending sites with the Engineer within your agreed areas and conducting planned maintenance, planned and reactive repair works, with some installation works as required.

The successful applicant for the�Industrial Door Engineer Assistant�will need a good knowledge of the Industrial Door Industry or another Engineering hands on back ground and used to working in all weather types. The applicant will be provided with a phone/tablet to enable access to our operational and mobile system to submit reports and timesheets.

The products supplied and maintained by the company that the Industrial Door Engineer Assistant�will need to assist the Engineer are, Industrial roller doors, sectional overhead doors, high speed doors, loading bay equipment, steel personnel doors, fire shutters and curtains, security roller shutters and grilles.

Package:

• 6-month probation period


• Hourly rate offered is �12.00 - 13.25 p/hour PAYE, basic depending on experience


• �28,000 - �30,330 basic depending on hourly rate offered


• Normal hours of work are 9 hours per day, typically starting at 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, they will rely on the engineer to plan their day depending on type of work and location. We offer an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes.


• Overtime is 1.5 x basic and 2 x basic for Sundays


• Bank holidays are paid at 1.5 x basic plus a day off in lieu


• Product and safety training as necessary


• 22 days holiday per annum up to a max of 25 days, plus 8 national bank holidays.


• Van & tools provided including company branded polo shirts, sweater, Hi-Viz jackets and coats. We also provide two pairs of work trousers and a pair of safety boots as needed.

Applicants are expected to be flexible with hours to ensure work is completed in a timely manner. There may be a need at times to work away of which a generous overnight allowance will apply.

Our customer are both ISO 9001 and 14001 accredited. The main market is temperature and hygiene controlled doorways within the food and pharmaceutical industries.
